Q: What are the fees for storage?
Bullion Direct does not charge storage fees.

Q: Will I incur delivery and handling charges when I buy on the Nucleo™ exchange?
No.  Since your purchases are held within our depository arrangements, delivery and handling fees are not charged.  If you require a transfer to an outside facility, fees will apply.  See Special Services under Account Fees for rates.

Q: I already have an IRA Custodian.  Can I use my current IRA Custodian relationship to buy precious metals?
Maybe.  Most IRA Custodians do not provide precious metals investment capabilities due to the physical nature of the investment. Check with your current IRA Custodian.

Q: If I Buy on the Nucleo™ Exchange, am I obligated to Sell back to the Nucleo™ Exchange and/or to Bullion Direct?
No.  You can sell to any dealer of your choice, however delivery fees may apply.  You may want to contact your IRA Custodian ahead of time to discuss logistics in order to avoid unwanted tax consequences.

Q: Am I buying physical metal, paper certificates, or futures contracts from Bullion Direct?
Physical metal.  All orders on the Nucleo™ Exchange are for physical commodities.

Q: Can I take personal possession of precious metals I have purchased with my IRA funds?
Taking personal delivery is a disbursement, which will likely have tax consequences and possible penalties.  Please contact your IRA Custodian for more information.

Q: Can I pay for my purchases directly from my personal funds?
No.  Funds for your purchases must come from your IRA Custodian on behalf of your IRA.

Q: Do I open a "Self Directed IRA" or a "Precious Metals IRA?"
In order to trade on Nucleo with an IRA-enabled trading account, you would need to open a Standard "Self Directed IRA." This format would provide you the flexibility to invest in many different assets and not be restricted to precious metals only.

Q: Can funds be tranferred from an existing Roth or Standard IRA?
You will need to seek advice on all IRA matters with your IRA custodian. They are intimately knowledgable of all the legalities involved and would ultimately handle the process for you.

Q: Can I order anything before my account is funded in order to lock in prices?
No, unlike our "Standard" trading account and IRA account must have funds prior to any trading activity.
